Comments on 'Out of Steam, Part 1'

Holly H.Malaamig's decision to split the party is the only one that makes sense, and I was glad to see that Diren was smart enough not to question it. And boy, did I identify with Malaamig at the end! Submerging in a hot spring is the best thing! But WOW, fantastic cliffhanger! :D (When I had just started to wonder if there would in fact be any people around at all.) (I am new enough in my reading that I actually don't have a good sense of whether there's a wild version of the snowies that you could encounter without people around.) (Update: apparently not! Not that Malaamig himself could know that, so my confusion about that at first reading worked well.)
PeggyBI finally came around to continue reading this story collection. And wheeee, what a cliffhanger!
