Holly H.As always, I appreciate the little details in all of this -- Malaamig's observations of the way the pool has been altered for human use, and the description of Birka re-dressing in her layers. This also made me wonder what the Northerners are making of the dogs -- I think I remember that the North doesn't have wolves? But they do have foxes! (But I am sure we will get Birka's or others' viewpoints on this soon!) And his hesitation over his old injuries, and their reactions, are interesting.
PeggyBThe end works best if one had forgotten about Malaamig being... eh, special. At least I had and found it pretty cute that he made such a fuss about getting out of the water until the real reason was finally pointed out.
Elizabeth BarretteI'm glad to see the South/North storyline moving along. This is exciting!
