| Post subject: | New Contest: Travel in Torn World - Deadline: May 1, 2013 |
Theme: Travel Deadline: May 1, 2013 Judging: (to be announced) Requirements: This is a paired contest - writing and artwork. Entrants may provide both aspects themselves, or pair with one or more other parties for their entry! You may write poetry, metafiction or stories, but they must be illustrated. Technical drawings, sketches or completed artwork qualify. Categories: Open. If there are enough entries (more than 5 per type of entry AND more than two entrants), there will be categories of fiction, metafiction and poetry. Otherwise, there will be one tier of awards in art and one in writing. Awards: Three awards will be given (in each category, if they apply). (1st - 3rd place) Each 1st place winner will receive a prize from our donated prize selection! However, each entrant may only receive one prize per contest, and a maximum of two prizes per 6 month period. Prizes to choose from: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=134 The canon board reserves the right to award an extra prize for exceptional work or special accomplishment. Let me know if you have questions! I am interested in pairing with artists, to produce any kind of writing. I can work from an illustration you give me, or I can write something for you to illustrate, whichever you prefer. |

Just a headsup that this deadline is less than a month away, now! Artists seem to be particularly needed - I know I've done several pieces of writing for the big South Meets North storyline that would qualify for the contest if someone wanted to illustrate them, and Elizabeth has mentioned that she's willing to work from a picture, or give inspiration for a picture! |
