Theme: Food

Requirements: You may write poetry, metafiction or stories; they do not need to be illustrated. You may also submit stand-alone artwork, or artwork that illustrates an existing piece of writing that involves food. (For example, an illustration of A Monstrous Feast would be accepted, even if it didn't feature food, or you may draw a tasty dish that doesn't connect with anything written.) Recipes will be accepted, but should have some kind of Torn World flavor (for example, call for snow-unicorn milk, or use a plant from our flora database). An earth-based substitution is encouraged!
Categories: Open. If there are enough entries (more than 5 per type of entry AND more than three total entrants), there will be categories of fiction, metafiction and poetry. Otherwise, there will be one tier of awards in art and one in writing.
Awards: Three awards will be given (in each category, if they apply). (1st - 3rd place) Each 1st place winner will receive a prize from our donated prize selection! However, each entrant may only receive one prize per contest, and a maximum of two prizes per 6 month period.
Prizes to choose from:

Suggestions: Finding or preserving food, how a food supply is impacted by the drop of a boundary, or the use of time crystals to preserve food. Scarcity of food, or a feast of celebration. A favorite food, a least favorite food. Food for an animal. An animal that IS food. Travel rations. How the change of seasons affect food supply. Also, drop by our Muse Fusions, as prompts dealing with this theme will be particularly encouraged!
