I am very sorry to report that one of our contributors, Valerie Higgins (valdary), passed away last night following a long fight with cancer. Her last story, Mended, has been posted to the site today.

I'm trying to decide what to do with her character, Reqem - should he be non-adoptable? Or would Val prefer that someone else interested in the character be able to adopt him?

*laughs weakly* I have to admit, I didn't really think about what to do if a contributor died. I sort of hate that I have to think about it now.

Aye, make them an NPC, but continue on their stories?

I'll miss her too.

I don't know whether she'd have preferred we keep her character hers, or make him adoptable.

Most of are far to far away to attend, but her funeral is next Thursday:
