Torn World was nominated in the "Other" category, since a whole world depicted in art, poetry, fiction, and wikipedia-style articles online doesn't fit into any of the more easily-defined categories. Unlike real-world elections, creators aren't allowed to vote for their own projects in the Rose and Bay polls, everyone has to rely on their readers for votes.
I should also note that Torn World has some impressive competition in this category; for instance, I love haikujaguar's
Three Michas, and Duotrope's Guide to fiction and poetry markets is invaluable to me as a writer. Then there's S00j's music, which is inspiring and delightful.
