New to Torn World? Find out more about our shared-world project here!

Generations ago, an advanced civilization learned to speed and slow time itself to create power to run their great society. But "free energy" is rarely free, and space-time is not infinitely flexible. In the end, they tore the very fabric of their space-time, isolating pockets of their world in different rates of time. The world is gradually healing itself; the sundered times have ended. The descendants of those that survived the Upheaval still struggle with unexpected effects of that cataclysmic event and are evoloving the technologically to harness time once more.
