Sea Monsters: The Frilled Whale - Fauna
Written By: Ellen Million (Writer), Edward Cammarota (Inspiration)
A large, rare whale with frilled fins.

The Frilled Whale, sometimes called the Guppy, is exceedingly rare, to the point of being considered mythological. Scientists have not officially added it to the documents of Torn World sea creatures, but many sailors report seeing them in deep waters far to the south. Descriptions of its size range between 80 and 150 feet, and it is unique for its colorful blue fins and the slight lump near its blow-hole. It is believed to be a plankton eater, and is generally gentle and non-aggressive, dangerous only for its size and clumsiness; a collision with the Guppy may result in the destruction of even large ships.
