Tekura's Tunic - Culture
Written By: Elizabeth Barrette (Other)
A tunic as made by Karavai for Tekura.

Karavai enjoys having something to do with his hands, such as sewing. This teal tunic is along the lines of something he might make for Tekura, who likes teal but cannot sew. The tunic is made from teal-colored cloth, with drawstrings braided from pale blue string and tipped with carved bone beads.

For this project I used cotton gauze; a similar material could be made from nettle flax, which the Northerners have. The beads are indeed real bone, such as Karavai could carve.
