Mirsa turned the scissors over in her hands and frowned. Sure, they were sharp enough for cutting hair, but they were unlike any scissors she had ever seen. The steel was cool and polished. Dim light glinted off its surface, sending spots of reflected light to dance across Mirsa's angular face. She gently brushed her thumb over the tool's sharp edge. They were expertly cared for, sharpened after every several uses and stored in a dry velvet-lined case. As far as the purpose of scissors go
