Winter White   poem
Creators: Lorna (Comtessa) (Writer)
A Northern song about the snow.
Posted: 09/27/10     Updated: 09/28/10 [1 Comment] ~ 118 words.

So sing me a song of the winter white,
how soft like a blanket it will lay.
Bring me a ball of the frosty snow,
and then you can go out to play.

Prove to me now it is cold outside,
and that footsteps are lost in time.
Don your winter gear so warm,
and then the deep cold will be fine.

Tracking the snow hare is easy now,
its tiny paws deep in the snow.
Catching the furry to skin and stew,
takes just a little time when you know.

Ah how I feel young inside,
knowing out in snow you play.
And how in the warm I will hide,
keeping by the crackling fire all day.

Author's Notes

Came to me thinking about the coming winter.
