Seafoam Fashions   Poem
Creators: Elizabeth Barrette (Writer), Lorna (Comtessa) (Inspiration)
Seafoam is the fashion color.
Posted: 06/15/12      [No comments yet] ~ 63 words.

Seafoam's the color
For you and for me:
As blue as the sky,
As green as the sea.

Seafoam's in fashion;
The sale banners fly.
Seafoam's the fabric
We all want to buy.

Seafoam's the color
For me and for you:
Marvelous value,
Part green and part blue.

Seafoam's in fashion,
So come try it on.
Hurry for seafoam,
Before it's all gone!

Author's Notes

This poem came from the May 14, 2011 Muse Fusion. It was inspired by a prompt from LJ user Haunted_blood, and posted as the freebie for this session.

The Southern Empire has a 'fashion color' each year, some unusual shade of a basic color that appears in a great many new clothes and other items for shoppers to enjoy. Stores often make a big deal of the event when the first shipment arrives for sale. A highly successful store might hire someone to stand outside and sing advertising jingles such as this one.
