This story or poem is for logged in supporters only! Here is a short excerpt to whet your appetite:

A girder bridge is planned
As simple as can be
(A log makes one for free)
With what you have at hand --
But the dandiest bridge
Is the Ibabesh Bridge,
The best in all the land.

Author's Notes

This poem came out of the July 2011 Muse Fusion. It was inspired by a prompt from LJ user kelkyag. It can be sponsored for $7.50 or 8 Torn World Credits.

The Ibabesh Bridge is a famous landmark in the Empire. Despite its structural challenges, it's impressive and the locals are proud of it. This is the kind of poem that probably appears on souvenirs in the area.
