The Majestic View   Poem
Creators: Elizabeth Barrette (Writer)
The City of Lights promotes a scenic attraction.
Posted: 10/03/11      [No comments yet] ~ 69 words.

Come and see the Majestic View!
If you're here, it's the thing to do.

City of Lights is way up high;
Here you can almost touch the sky.

Visit the Rim, it's where to go --
See the whole world spread out below.

Then turn around and see the lights
Glittering splendor on the heights.

If you come, then you'll know it's true.
Why not see the Majestic View?

Author's Notes

This poem came out of the September 2011 Muse Fusion. It was inspired and sponsored by Doris Hernandez.

The City of Lights is built where the Rim rises in a high cliff above the lower part of the continent. Cities in the Empire like to promote local attractions and landmarks, so here the citizens are celebrating the view from the heights and a scenic location for enjoying it.
