Long ago, when the world was one,
the people were two.
There were men
and there were women.

Author's Notes

This poem came out of the February 18-19, 2012 Crowdfunding Creative Jam. It was inspired by a prompt from LJ user Wyld_dandelyon. It may be sponsored for $10 or 10 Torn World credits.

The idea of unicorns as mythical beasts predates the Upheaval. Somehow this evolved into the Glifai folklore about Unicorn bringing the transformation of puberty, when the undifferentiated children develop their sexual characteristics (if any). They don't know about the actual snow-unicorns of the North yet ... but they will be really excited when that discovery is announced.
