Winter's Empty   Poem
Creators: Ellen Million (Writer), mikka (Inspiration)
Food is preserved for the winter.
Posted: 08/30/12      [No comments yet] ~ 28 words.

Plucking, skinning,
Chopping, slicing,
Boiling, brewing,
Salting, spicing,

Smoking, drying,
Ageing, brining,
Roasting, baking,
Shelling, grinding.

All the -ings of summer's plenty,
Saved for winter's long cold empty.

Author's Notes

Prompted by Michelle Goldberg at the July 2012 Muse Fusion!
