Ireluun helps some children from Itadesh find a task that doesn't bring up sad memories.

This story or poem is for logged in supporters only! Here is a short excerpt to whet your appetite:

The refugees from Itadesh were restless.
Along with her own charges,
Ireluun watched over the children
who had come to Itakith.
Some of them were melancholy,
others skittish.

It didn't help that
there were always fires burning,
currently smoking the extra fish that
brave rangers brought back from the sound.

Author's Notes

This poem came out of the August 2012 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by a prompt from Ellen Million. It may be sponsored for $10 or 10 Torn World credits.
