Oranaan starts a study group, of sorts, and the Safety Manual is actually opened, if only in support of an experiment.

This story or poem is for logged in supporters only! Here is a short excerpt to whet your appetite:

"Boys!" Oranaan spoke automatically, and wondered where that authoritative tone came from. He almost sounded like Emeroma. Oranaan suppressed a shudder at the thought and thrust food at each of them. "That's--that's strange and unexpected, a lot like that first beer barrel. Lidi, do you think your friend is lying to you?"

"No."

"And you just bragged to me about how smart Amaroin is, right?"

"Right." Now Lidi was looking at his toes, and Amaroin was glaring at Oranaan.

"So, something strange and unexpected is happening. You know what I think about at that?"

Amaroin looked confused, but Lidi looked up dubiously. "It's wonderful?"

Author's Notes
