A shape poem.

This story or poem is for logged in supporters only! Here is a short excerpt to whet your appetite:

It has eight arms
They're spread so wide
There's nowhere to run!
There's nowhere to hide!
Two more long arms, with sharp, evil claws...

Author's Notes

This Empire-approved poetry form is known as a shape poem. This one is distinguished by four short lines, two long lines, and four short lines, which represent the 8 short arms and 2 long, clawed arms of the deadly smartarm. This kind of short poem is often printed with an illustration on a trading card that may be left as a tip for excellent service. (Monetary tips are considered crude!)
