This story or poem is for logged in supporters only! Here is a short excerpt to whet your appetite:

Honestly, Bai intended to fire her.

The woman spelled nothing but trouble, in every intimidating inch of her body, and she was several of those inches taller than Bai himself.

It was clear that Ressa had received the appointment of Head of Files by seducing the previous License Master - if her license with the Carnal Guild hadn't made the conflict of interest apparent, her lack of credentials made the bias unmistakable. She was only a clerk, not even an assistant, and she was a handful of classes shy of testing up in the ranks - classes she wasn't even enrolled in, for that flimsy excuse. Her ascent through the hierarchy of the Licensing Office was obviously based on the perfect angles of her cheeks and the fullness of her lips, rather than her skills; Bai had inherited an entire office full of problems, and the files department was definitely one of them.
